Centro Corporation Debuts Swattle Weight — Multi-Function Terminal Tackle Innovation at China Fish 2026
Centro Corporation, the South Korea-headquartered fishing tackle manufacturer with its own production facilities in China, used the February 2026 China Fish exhibition in Beijing to launch the Swattle Weight — a multi-functional terminal tackle component that integrates a swivel, a spinning rattle and a control weight into a single unit.
The Swattle Weight builds on Centro’s original Swattle hybrid swivel concept, adding enhanced sink-rate control and sound-attraction features. Designed to help rigs reach target depth more efficiently while generating underwater acoustic signals to attract fish, the product targets saltwater anglers seeking to improve catch rates across a range of conditions.
Centro Corporation specializes in saltwater fishing and terminal tackle products, with headquarters in South Korea and manufacturing operations in China. The company supplies customers worldwide through both OEM partnerships and, increasingly, under its own Centro brand in select markets. “In some European markets, we also plan to supply products under the CENTRO brand, with a focus on our new product lines,” the company stated at the show.
The Swattle Weight launch reflects a broader trend in the terminal tackle category: product innovation increasingly targets multi-function integration — combining features that were previously sold as separate components (swivels, weights, sound chambers) into single, rig-ready units. For Chinese OEM factories in the terminal tackle space, this trend suggests that buyers will increasingly value factories capable of complex multi-material assembly and precision molding, rather than simple stamping or turning operations.
Centro’s presence at China Fish — and its explicit strategy of expanding branded sales alongside OEM business — also illustrates a shifting dynamic in the China-sourced tackle market: manufacturers that began as pure OEM suppliers are increasingly developing proprietary product IP and brand recognition, even as they continue to serve traditional OEM clients.
