Carbon fibre rod maker lists on Made-in-China for global buyers
Puhemeiye Carbon Products has opened a Made-in-China storefront showcasing its high-strength square and round carbon fibre rods and bars, signalling another Chinese materials supplier turning to the platform’s international buyer traffic to expand export reach.
The company lists a full range of pultruded and roll-wrapped carbon fibre rods, available in both solid round and square profiles, with diameters spanning small precision sizes to thicker structural bars. Specifications highlight a density of just 1.4–1.5 g/cm³, roughly one-quarter the weight of steel, alongside the high tensile strength that has made carbon fibre a staple in performance-driven manufacturing.
Application notes published by the supplier cover a broad cross-section of industrial end-uses, including aerospace components, marine fittings, automotive parts, sporting goods, model aircraft and stunt kites. That spread reflects how Chinese carbon fibre producers have moved beyond premium aerospace contracts and into volume B2B channels where lighter, stiffer materials can replace metal at competitive price points.
For the angling industry specifically, the listing carries significance beyond kite frames and model planes. Carbon fibre rod stock remains a key raw input for premium fishing rod blanks, landing net handles, and a growing range of accessory components where weight reduction directly translates to handling gains. Chinese rod builders sourcing pultruded blanks have long relied on domestic carbon suppliers, and platforms like Made-in-China now offer international buyers a more direct procurement route than traditional factory visits or trade-show appointments.
The move also tracks a wider pattern across the Chinese composites sector, where mid-sized manufacturers are investing in multilingual product listings, third-party-verified specifications, and online enquiry systems to court smaller-volume importers who previously found Chinese supply chains inaccessible. By consolidating technical data sheets, tolerances, and application imagery into a single product page, suppliers such as Puhemeiye reduce the friction that has historically steered European and North American buyers toward domestic composites distributors.
Pricing on carbon fibre rod stock has eased modestly over the past two years as additional Chinese production lines have come online, narrowing the gap between domestic Chinese buyers and overseas importers. That shift has encouraged fishing tackle brands in particular to explore carbon components that would have been cost-prohibitive a decade ago, from reinforcement inserts in reel seats to lightweight spreader bars for big-game trolling gear.
Whether Puhemeiye’s new storefront translates into meaningful angling-sector orders remains to be seen, but the listing underscores how China’s carbon fibre supply chain continues to professionalise its export channels and target the specialty sports equipment trade.
