China maker showcases tungsten jig heads at Made-in-China hub

A Chinese fishing accessory manufacturer has expanded its export-oriented product catalogue on the Made-in-China platform, spotlighting a new tungsten jig head alongside its established ranges of spinner baits, metal jigs and plastic hard lures. The move underscores how mid-sized suppliers are continuing to broaden their hard bait portfolios to capture demand from international tackle distributors.

The company has published its WP-51-3 emulational eyes rainbow colour tungsten fishing jig head as a featured offering, designed for finesse presentations targeting bass, perch and other predatory freshwater species. Tungsten, prized by lure anglers for its compact profile and environmental advantages over lead, has become a focal category across Chinese factories servicing the North American and European markets.

According to the supplier listing, the tungsten jig is part of a wider manufacturing programme that includes metal jig lures for saltwater casting and trolling, spinner baits built around silicone skirts and stainless wireframes, and a full plastic hard lure family covering crankbaits, minnows and topwater shapes. The breadth reflects the vertical integration typical of established Chinese tackle exporters, where in-house mould shops, paint rooms and component suppliers operate within a single industrial cluster.

Industry observers note that the inclusion of tungsten components alongside plastic and metal lures illustrates a maturing export strategy. Rather than specialising in a single bait category, Chinese producers are positioning themselves as one-stop sourcing partners for overseas brands looking to consolidate their supply chains. That approach has gained traction as freight costs and minimum order quantities remain key considerations for Western buyers.

The supplier’s emphasis on small-batch colour runs and customised finishes also points to a shift away from purely commodity production. Buyers increasingly request proprietary paint patterns, branded packaging and even co-developed lure actions, allowing Chinese manufacturers to move up the value chain and command stronger margins on customised orders.

With China’s hard bait export segment continuing to outpace growth in traditional soft plastics, suppliers offering tungsten components alongside conventional categories are likely to remain competitive in the global tackle trade.
