Weihai Jinjiang widens metal jig lineup for export buyers
Weihai Jinjiang Fishing Tackle Co., Ltd. is pressing harder into the export side of China’s metal jig market, refreshing its Made-in-China storefront with an enlarged Others Metal Jig Lure catalogue led by the luminous Lf-54 Slow Pitch model aimed at saltwater distributors.
The Shandong-based supplier, which lists spinner baits, metal jigs and plastic hard lures among its core offerings, has reorganised its online product grouping to make slow pitch jigging and other saltwater patterns easier for overseas buyers to compare. The move reflects a wider push by coastal Chinese factories to capture a larger share of the global offshore tackle trade, where Japanese and Korean makers have historically held sway.
According to the company’s Made-in-China page, the updated catalogue extends beyond standard metal jigs to include specialised slow pitch designs such as the Lf-54, a hard, luminous lure pitched at anglers targeting bottom-dwelling species. The presentation groups slow jig, knife jig and assist-hook configurations together, helping importers narrow down specifications when placing container orders.
Industry observers note that Weihai, a long-established hub for rod, reel and lure production, has become a focal point for buyers seeking OEM and private label metal jigs at competitive price points. Factories there typically offer low minimum order quantities on stocked shapes while keeping mould development costs modest, a combination that has drawn brands from Europe, North America and Australia in recent seasons.
For international tackle buyers, the practical implication is a broader shortlist when sourcing slow pitch metal jigs from China. Jinjiang’s catalogue now explicitly positions slow pitch patterns alongside conventional metal jigs, suggesting the factory is prepared to serve specialist saltwater retailers rather than only general freshwater distributors.
The listed luminous Lf-54 and related slow pitch jigs point to continued investment in surface finishes, glow pigments and assist rigging that previously sat with East Asian competitors. With slow pitch jigging continuing to gain traction among European sea anglers and US west coast boat captains, the Weihai factory’s expanded digital catalogue gives overseas importers a more direct route to negotiate specifications, packaging and branding ahead of the spring buying cycle.
